One of our favorite activities is to take out the kayaks and enjoy a leisurely paddle down to Kona. Not only is it a great way to see the Kona coastline, it is also a fantastic opportunity to have an intimate sighting of porpoises, turtles, and even whales. Once, a whale came so close to us that it actually bumped the boat. (nearly sending us all into the water) If whale watching isn't in season, we bring a fishing rod along to see what we can catch.
